The proposal for Station Site, South Ockendon, utilises a brownfield site to deliver 38 new homes in the borough of Thurrock. The site holds several constraints; noise pollution from the adjacent Network Railway station, railway line access needed for maintenance, and the demand for high-quality family homes with safe, engaging amenity and boundaries.

The developed design features three typologies, including a terrace of 3 and 4 storey mews style properties offering a more intimate street character and communal atmosphere to address the site's obstacles. The development is arranged as two strips on either side of a central accessway, which cleverly allows maintenance ability through the site for the railway while providing an opportunity for communal amenity, dedicated play space, and overlooking private terraces. Upper floor flats and duplexes have been designed as ‘walk-up flats’, providing residents remote street-level access.

The mixed tenure scheme has been designed to excellent energy performance levels and is currently in planning.
