This 118 dwelling development has been commissioned by PegasusLife, a specialist developer, reinventing retirement homes as places in which people positively want to live. The site has been designed as a landscape of mature trees and lush planting, into which the buildings will nestle. They will be constructed in brick with an applied white limewash. This part of the West Country benefits from some of the highest annual sunlight hours in the UK, and the white finish of the elevations will further enhance the perception of bright sunlight and shadow, while also acting as a neutral backdrop to exacerbate the vivid greens of the lush landscape.
