Director Jay Morton talks to the AJ about how more infill housing could help the government reach their target of 1.5 million new homes by 2030, describing infill sites as a ‘low-hanging fruit’ for delivering new housing.
Using our project in Newham as an example, she suggests that a pattern-book approach might work. We designed a template for two house types- a standard terrace and a wheelchair-accessible option which were replicated across various sites.
