In the Shadow of the Shard celebrates codesign and what social housing can achieve when the true spirit of partnership with residents is embraced.
Join us for a screening of 'In the Shadow of the Shard', a documentary by John Rogers that follows estate residents in Bermondsey and Rotherhithe who are taking action to transform where they live. The film tells the inspiring story of the Leathermarket Community Benefit Society, a community group that has successfully built Marklake Court - 27 new 100% council homes on the Kipling Estate—just yards from The Shard. In the spirit of this year's LFA theme, after the film, there will be a panel discussion with some of the voices behind the project, and the event will end with networking on Bermondsey Square. We hope to see you there!

Banksie Critchley, Bell Phillips
John Rogers, Filmmaker
Tessa Boase, Social Historian and Campaigner
John Paul Lynch, founding member of the Leathermarket Community Benefit Society (CBS)
