How can Birmingham build the new homes it needs and hit net-zero, all while the construction industry grapples with viability, rising material costs and inflation?
On Wednesday 4 November, we are hosting an evening with EH Smith: Birmingham’s Route to Net Zero Housing.
We will be bringing together experts from all corners of the industry to tackle housing and net-zero holistically. Sharing emerging thinking and new ideas, before a panel discussion chaired by Director and RIBA President-elect, Jay Morton. The Bell Phillips team will share strategies for simpler, leaner design that can cut upfront embodied carbon by over 30% whilst bringing costs down.
The goal is not only to lower costs and meet net zero targets. It is to do both and create wonderful places to live.
Speakers include:
Emily Landsborough, Sustainability Lead, Ibstock
Sasha Swannell, Sustainability Designer, Bell Phillips
