Burgess Park Sports Pavilion in AJ Specification

We are pleased to share that Burgess Park Sports Pavilion features in the latest issue of the AJ Specification, with a focus on facades and cladding.

The pavilion's perforated copper panels create a pleated facade that animates the building's elongated form. From a distance, they establish a strong vertical rhythm against the boulevard of mature lime trees, while up close they reveal an intriguing play of transparency, solidity and shadow.

The copper cladding will weather naturally over time, gradually turning green as the landscape evolves around the building. It's a robust, low maintenance and easily recyclable envelope that complements the park setting whilst creating a distinctive identity for this new community sports facility.
