Highlights from our open studio

On Tuesday, we opened our doors to Part I and Part II architecture grads for an evening of shared experiences, practical advice, and thoughtful conversation.

Hosted by Part I Architectural Assistant Rahul Patcha, the event began with a presentation from our team:

Tom Morgan, Director, gave an honest take on the highs and lows of starting out and the value of resilience and really listening as a designer.

Sasha Swannell, Part II and Sustainability Designer, spoke passionately about our commitment to low-carbon design and the responsibility we all share as practitioners.

Mankiran Kundi, Part II, and Emma Carter, Associate, highlighted the importance of social value and co-design, not just in our projects, but in our culture as a studio.

Alex Wilford and Nathaniel Welham shared lessons from the path to qualification - the stuff they wish they'd known sooner.

After the talks, we hosted four workshops on portfolios, interviews, employer expectations and studio culture. There was also plenty of time to network over snacks and drinks.

We hope that everyone who joined the event left feeling a lot more confident for their journeys ahead.
