Church Street Receives Planning
We’re excited to announce we have received planning consent for the redevelopment of Church Street! We are committed as architects to make our city affordable, greener, and stimulating through good design.
The mixed-use development- one of the largest such projects in London- sees the provision of up to 1,120 new homes (50% of which will be affordable), flexible new retail and affordable workspaces, a new library and community hub, new green spaces within an improved public realm, and upgraded infrastructure to support the popular and long-established Church Street Market.
At the beginning of the year, residents from the Church Street neighbourhood voted 73% in favour of redevelopment proposals.
Almost every flat in Plot A is dual aspect with air-source heat pumps, MVHR, ambient heat loop and ahigh performing envelop resulting in a 67% improvement on Part L.
Director Hari Phillips says, “Since our appointment in 2018 we have enjoyed a highly productive relationship with Westminster City Council, local residents, businesses, and our wider project team to produce this ambitious regeneration project. We are delighted to have received planning consent and believe that the redevelopment of Church Street is going to be transformative in terms of new homes, community facilities and the wider public realm in this key London location.”
