Abbeyfield Road Receives Planning
Abbeyfield Road, located on a prominent but highly constrained site at the base of Southwark Park, has achieved planning consent after a unanimous decision. The proposal features a new three and six-storey building comprising 13 new dwellings. Materially and formally, the building mirrors the historic Mission House three doors to the east, with chamfered corners and details in glazed brick and terracotta pigmented concrete.
This development is part of a larger scheme for Southwark featuring 14 new homes and commercial space at Rotherhithe New Road, 20 new homes at Maltby Street, and 16 new homes at Fendall Street, all for social rent.
