Riverside Road & Rotherhithe New Road Shortlisted!
The 2022 Housing Design Awards shortlist has been announced, and we’re proud to say that Rotherhithe New Road and Riverside Road have been included on the list!
Recently completed, Riverside Road introduces five 3-bed, 6-person dwellings for Watford Borough Council. The brief for this scheme highlighted the need for more housing in this low-density area and expressed that this development should serve as a benchmark for future homes within the borough. As part of Watford’s proactive approach to tackling climate change, a Home Quality Mark (HQM) assessment has been undertaken with the homes achieving a four-star ranking, including energy saving of 68.3% improvement over a Part L 2013 compliant development.
Rotherhithe New Road is a project for Southwark Council that comprises 51 flats for social rent across four brownfield infill sites in Bermondsey. The buildings use differing plan arrangements to weave them into their specific condition within the estate but are unified through their use of material and detail. This project has been granted planning.
