Ludlow Lodge wins RIBA London Award

It’s been an amazing week for awards culminating in Ludlow Lodge winning an
RIBA London Award.
Ludlow Lodge is the first council housing built by Sutton for 25 years. The project, in Wallington, comprises 57 flats for social rent within five 3-5 storey blocks arranged around a south-facing garden. The site is located between two conservation areas and adjacent to the Grade II listed Holy Trinity Church from which the design of the new buildings takes inspiration with each block having a double gable arrangement that echoes the roofscape of the Church and adjacent Priory buildings.
The Judges’ citation notes that This project speaks loud and clear of what good housing for all should look like.”
