Convent Way residents vote in favour of estate regeneration
80% of residents in Hounslow’s Convent Way have voted in favour of a major estate regeneration that will provide approximately 900 new net zero carbon homes, 50% of which will be for social rent, together with new open space, shops and community facilities. The vote was secured on a turnout of 85%.
The design is centred on health and wellbeing with a series of neighbourhoods focussed on generous parks providing space for play, sports and recreation. The positive vote will now see the design moving towards a planning application in Spring 2022.
