Projects shortlisted for Housing Design Awards
We’re delighted that two of our projects have been shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards 2021.
Orwell House, for London Borough of Tower Hamlets, comprises 20 flats for social rent on Lubetkin’s Dorset Estate, just off Colombia Road. The wedge-shape building has balconies and a roof terrace that look out across Ravenscroft Park. The balconies are clad in pink glass reinforced concrete panels in a chequerboard that echo the tones and patterns found on the existing estate.
Styles House is a new community-led development comprising 25 new affordable flats, together with a new community hall and landscaped garden in Southwark designed in collaboration with the Styles House TMO and Igloo Community Builders. The new development was overwhelmingly supported by existing residents in a ballot, with 90% voting in favour of the new homes on an
84% turnout.
