Baroness Road completed
Our latest council housing project for Tower Hamlets is now complete.
Orwell House, named after George Orwell, provides 20 flats for social rent on Lubetkin’s Dorset Estate, just off Colombia Road. The wedge-shape building has balconies and a roof terrace that look out across Ravenscroft Park. The balconies are clad in pink GRC panels in a chequerboard that echo the tones and patterns found on the existing estate.
The building is the third estate infill housing project to be completed for Tower Hamlets following on from projects in Stepney and Mile End providing 77 flats for social rent.
