Planning submitted for affordable homes in Southwark
Planning has been submitted for 14 affordable flats and commercial units in Bermondsey, Southwark. The project comprises brickwork and GRC panels with brick arches on the ground floor that refer to the arches of the neighbouring railway viaduct and Southwark Park Station which closed in 1915.
The project is the third of four infill housing developments for Southwark Council The first, on Fendall Street, comprising 16 new affordable flats, has been granted submitted. The second, on Maltby Street, comprising 24 new affordable flats has also been submitted for planning. Both of these projects are on the St. Saviours Estate in Bermondsey.
