Greenwich Housing featured in new RIBA report on the need for age-friendly housing

Our Greenwich housing project has been featured as a case study in a new RIBA report setting out the need to design housing that can adapt to the changing needs of our ageing population. The report makes the case that within five years over-60’s will form over 25% of the UK population and therefore the way we approach housing design needs to be approached in a new way.

Our Greenwich Housing project provides homes for elderly and disabled residents on small sites across Greenwich. The homes have been designed with a strong emphasis on the quality of the internal environment, with a generosity of space and outstanding daylight and ventilation, ease of access and a second bedroom suitable for a visiting family member or carer. The homes enable residents to live independently within the community for longer.
