Mayor visits Marklake Court
Leathermarket CBS were delighted to welcome Sadiq Khan to Marklake Court to meet residents settling in to their new homes. On his tour of the community-led development the Mayor reiterated his commitment to deliver 10,000 new council homes over the next 4 years. Reporting on the Mayor’s visit in The Mirror, Ros Wynne-Jones, described the project as “Social cleansing in reverse” while Sadiq Khan noted that “The residents of Marklake Court could have been pushed out of their neighbourhood by rising prices like so many others, but instead they’ve moved into brand new council homes.”
