This competition proposal sought to provide a new office building on a prominent industrial site sandwiched between two
elegant 19th Century warehouses overlooking the River Aire. The brief required an eye-catching design and the site lends itself
to a landmark building. The design was driven by the requirement to mediate between the constraints imposed by rights of light to
adjacent buildings, the desire to provide public access to the riverfront and the need to provide an efficient, rational office floorplate
on a compact site. The result of these opposing requirements is a building composed of twisting, triangular facetted facades and roof that
gives the building a stunning visual appearance. The building oversails the river giving the building prominence and offering exceptional views from within.
